Sequana holds authorisation from the Conseil National des Activités Privées de Sécurité (CNAPS), the French regulator for private investigation. Working with an authorised agency matters for a practical reason as well as a legal one: evidence obtained by an authorised investigator can be produced in French proceedings, whereas material a party gathers on their own — recordings, tracking, intercepted messages — is frequently ruled inadmissible and can expose the person who collected it.
